I begin with a simple idea that as long as both hired labor and money exist, we cannot speak about freedom. One idea that probably everyone have thought sometime, but it is as influential as the warning label on the cigarette packet. By stamping peoples banknotes, I aspire to set questionings about morality and freedom.
I am interested in every reaction, thought or opinion someone can express, as it is indicator for a slavish behavior to the notion of money and for how someone defines his own notions of morality and freedom.
I am also interested in this which may follow someone who finally participated in this procedure. What means to him, the stamped banknote in his wallet now? And finally, after all this procedure, what is my relation to money as an artist? Is it revengeful or slavish?
